Important things to bring for a more pleasant stay.

Itinerary

DAY 1
• Upon check-in at the hotel, you will be welcomed with a refreshing native beverage. •Explore Kuyana Island and the Guitarracocha Trail. The trail's name comes from ancestral cultural knowledge, as at night, you can hear the sound of guitars in this small water formation. On this route, you can explore Kuyana Island and visit the viewpoint, which offers majestic views, and take a refreshing bath on the banks of the Hollin River. DAY 2
•Rise early to witness the breathtaking beauty of Amazonian birdlife and its melodic songs as you explore Kuyana Lodge's nature trails. Get ready to be amazed by the vibrant colors and diverse species of birds, including orioles, caciques, kingfishers, parrots, parakeets, and many more. This unforgettable experience is rated as a level 2 out of 5 on our difficulty scale, making it suitable for most guests, and typically lasts around 1 hours. •Indulge in a mouthwatering breakfast, lunch and dinner, crafted from a fusion of the freshest local ingredients. •Guided walk to Ushpayacu waterfalls, The Usphayacu estuary is a remarkable natural wonder formed by a network of water sources and natural springs found in the area. As it flows through Kuyana Amazon Lodge, the estuary is a prominent attraction, making it the perfect place to explore and immerse oneself in the lush jungle surroundings. Along the way, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the waterfalls that dot the landscape. Keep your eyes peeled for a diverse range of bird, insect, and animal species that call this area home.This tour is a moderately challenging experience, rated at 3.0 out of 5 points, and typically lasts around 3 hours. •Cooking class: Our traditional cooking class allows you to create and savor a range of delicious local dishes, including maito and chontacuro. DAY 3
• Indulge in a mouthwatering breakfast, lunch and dinner, crafted from a fusion of the freshest local ingredients. Savor the flavors of the Amazon rainforest as you enjoy a truly unique culinary experience. •Visited a Quehua family - We are thrilled to share with you the unique customs and traditions of the area, and what better way to experience them than by being warmly welcomed into the home of a Quechua family from the Community of Santo Domingo del Hollín. This community is home to around 50 families who proudly preserve their ancestral practices, including their gastronomy, and are eager to share them with our visitors. •The night has arrived, and what better way to discover and become part of the rich nocturnal ecosystem of the region than by joining a nighttime hike. Learn about the fascinating and mysterious nocturnal species that inhabit the area and immerse yourself in the wonders of the jungle after dark. This tour is a moderately challenging experience, rated at 2.0 out of 5 points, and generally lasts around 1 hour.
DAY 4
• Your last day in the jungle has arrived! Wake up to the melodies of the birds and start your day with a delicious breakfast prepared with a fusion of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. While you're here, why not take part in our Hollin River reforestation project? Join us in planting a tree and contribute to the preservation and restoration of this precious ecosystem.
